OS X Setup
This guide will walk you though getting setup with the DyIO and NRDK on Mac OS X. After completing the process, you'll be ready to start some programming.
The installation instructions below are written for Snow Leopard (OS X 10.6.5) but will also work on Leopard (OS X 10.5). NR SDK is not able to run on versions of OS X prior to 10.5 as Java 1.6 is not available.Step 1: Getting the Pieces
You will need to download the following software:
- Java Runtime - If not already installed
- Neuron Robotics Development Kit (NRDK)
Step 2: Extract the .zip file
Extract the contents of the .zip file to your /Applications/NeuronRobotics/ directory.You will need to have the following hardware:
- A DyIO
- A USB cable (one came with the DyIO)
Step 3: Running Neuron Robotics Console
Navigate to the Neuron Robotics Development Kit and double click NR Console under the bin directory.
Step 4: You're Done!
Congratulations, you're now done installing NRDK and are ready to start programming!
